FROM THE NORTH

M6 Leaving at Junction 27

Leaving at Junction 27 turn towards Standish B5239.

Pass through first set of lights then at next set of traffic lights (Somerfield on left)  turn right onto A49. Stay on the A49 for 4 miles and pass the hospital on your right.

Continue down A49 to set of lights (Tesco on right). Turn left at these lights.

At next set of lights turn left.

After 3 miles you will see football pitches on your right and Woods Rd. is between these pitches.

FROM THE SOUTH

M6 leaving at Junction 25

Leaving at Junction 25 turn left towards Wigan on A49.

At roundabout turn right towards Wigan on B5238.

Continue straight on until opposite Rileys snooker hall and then turn right.

At next set of lights (Tesco on left) turn right.

At next set of lights turn left.

After 3 miles you will see football pitches on your right and Woods Rd. is between these pitches.

FROM THE WEST

M58 and Southport/Ormskirk/Skelmersdale (A577)

The M58 ends at Junction 26 (M6)

Turn left towards ORRELL and at traffic lights turn right onto A577.

Stay on A577 for approx. 2 miles to Junction roundabout with A49 and A571.

At traffic lights turn left onto Robin Park Road towards Shevington/Standish/Preston. (Fire Station on left/ASDA Superstore on right).

Stay on this road for approx. 2 miles (Robin Park Road/Scot Lane/Beech Hill Avenue/ Spencer Road West) to roundabout.

At roundabout turn right onto A49 and pass the hospital on your right.

Continue down A49 to set of lights (Tesco on left). Turn left at these lights.

At next set of lights turn left.

After 3 miles you will see football pitches on your right and Woods Rd. is between these pitches.

FROM THE EAST

M61 (Manchester or Chorley)
Leave at Junction 6 turning left towards Wigan.

At roundabout turn left onto A6 and then first right (opposite Royal Oak Hotel) onto Dicconson Lane B5239.

Stay on B5239 over mini-roundabout until cross roads (war memorial in centre) and turn left towards New Springs/Whelley and Wigan B5238.

Woods Road is on your left between the football pitches.
